Today is AskAnArchivist Day 2017 on Twitter.

Ever felt overwhelmed working on your family tree in an archives? Don’t despair: #AskAnArchivist!

Have a question for an archivist about how to use collections for family history research? Or do you need information on preserving your family papers? #AskanArchivist on Twitter.

Professional archivists and preservation specialists will take to Twitter today to answer your questions as part of Preservation Week 2017. This special preservation-focused edition of #AskAnArchivist Day, sponsored by the Society of American Archivists‘ Preservation Section, will give you a chance to ask questions about how to care for your collections, get information on what to do with your family heirlooms, or just satisfy your curiosity about what those folks in the preservation department are doing. Take part by tweeting a question and including the hashtag #AskAnArchivist, or follow along at #AskAnArchivist as questions and answers are shared.

We want to help you use primary resources effectively, so AskAnArchivist today.
